I Changed My Mind

Well, since I have been writing, writing and writing some more. I wanted to be sure to bring you good content worth reading. You know, something that you would want to share, something that will bring you back. Originally I was going to open up as the #1 thing to do to stay healthy and on track is to plan and prepare. While this is VERY important I feel like it should be  #1 ½.  But…. I got to thinking…(this can be good or this can be bad…HA!) If you are starting from scratch and you are ready to make that forever lifestyle change the #1 thing you need to do is figure out your WHY and set GOALS!

  • WHY do you want to be healthy?
  • WHY are you ready to make that forever lifestyle change?
  •  It could be a number of things:
    • YOU are tired of being overweight
    • YOU want to feel better
    • YOU want to be around longer for your kids
    • YOU want to teach your kids that forever lifestyle change
    • YOU want to learn about what YOU are putting in your body
    • YOU want to get off meds, etc.

The list is endless. We all have our own personal reasons for everything in life!

Are YOU ready to make the forever lifestyle change and Live Life Healthy OR do YOU need to get back on the wagon?  I want you to answer the questions below. I encourage you to write these down and post them somewhere as YOUR reminder.

  1. What is your WHY (Maybe to feel desirable again)
  2. What is your Long term goal (To pass on healthy habits to your children)
  3. What is your Short term goal (To lose 5 lbs in a month)

Okay, lets just think about this…

  • YOU are ready to take action and get control over your health.
  • What is the worse thing that could happen? Ummm….I really can’t think of anything. I guess the WORSE thing would be is that you might not succeed? AND where does this put you? Right back where you are right now….RIGHT? What do you have to lose…NOTHING! What do you have to gain? EVERYTHING!
  • Now…YOU succeed? Oh My Gosh….YOU succeed! YOU feel better, YOU are SO proud of yourself (as YOU should be), this gives YOU even more motivation.
  • Another scenario…YOU succeed, then you fall off the wagon. GUESS WHAT! THAT IS OKAY…YOU ARE HUMAN! I fall off the wagon., but do you know what the great thing is?  I know how to get right back on that wagon! Remember…YOU ARE HUMAN and SO AM I!

Love YOURself! You can do this! I promise!
