Plan and Prepare

Want to know how I stay on track and keep my family on track to Living Life Healthy?

My #1  1/2  MUST to eating Healthy!
This is AFTER you have figured out YOUR WHY!
plan
This really is the key to staying on track! If you DO NOT plan and prepare then you are grabbing whatever is “Easy”! Right? But “Easy” really can be EASY!

Well, it is time to set aside a little time, and I do mean a little, to plan out your week and your grocery list.

Once you get the groove of this, it just comes natural. It will make your life easier in the long run! This, I know to be true!

  1. Plan out your “Healthy” meals for the week.
  2. Make out your grocery list. When writing this out break it down into the sections of the grocery store.
  3. Pick your day that you can spend an extra hour or so to cut up veggies, wash fruit, make greek yogurt dip, etc.
  4. Pick your cooking day/evening. This really does not take any extra time. If you tend to cook on Monday nights then on Monday nights just cook more. Example:
  • Bake 3 extra sweet potatoes to have in a couple of nights (yes, they heat up in the microwave just dandy).
  • Put on a big pot of green beans to have another night.
  • Bake extra chicken to put on a salad one night.
  • Go on and marinade a tenderloin to pop in the oven
  • One night when you get home take that extra chicken you baked, have wraps for lunch or dinner one night.
  • Put a pot of pinto beans, black beans, etc. on the stove to eat on throughout the week.
  • Throw something in the crock pot…

Do you get my drift? You are already in the kitchen cooking, right? Just cook more! You actually end up saving time by having most of your food prepared for a couple of days. I tend to REALLY cook just two nights a week. Same goes for when you are grilling, fill that grill up with all kinds of extras!

Now what is your excuse?

Go Plan out your meals!

Pick your day for Preparing them!

Be Happy. Be Healthy. Be You.
